Who We Are
Sterling Caviar is the pioneer on sustainable sturgeon farming and sturgeon caviar production, having been the first producer of farmed caviar in 1993. We are part of the Stolt Sea Farm Group that in turn is the aquaculture division of Stolt-Nielsen LTD, which in partnership with Sierra Aquafarms are the owners of Sterling Caviar LLC. Sterling Caviar LLC is proud to be a major supplier of American caviar to consumers, top chefs and purveyors worldwide. You will find our American caviar products served at various famous Michelin starred restaurants, airlines and resorts around the world.
Sterling Caviar’s history as an institution in the caviar world is referenced in books such as “Caviar a Global History” by Nichola Fletcher, “Philosopher Fish” by Richard Adams Carey and “Caviar, The Strange History and Uncertain Future of the World’s Most Coveted Delicacy” by Inga Saffron.
Our mission is to farm white sturgeon in an environmentally responsible manner with respect for the fish in order to produce ecologically sustainable caviar for our customers’ enjoyment.
